14-year-old boy who led gang of assassins is caught by police in Spain
The boy was head of an international network of underage killers who were hired to assassinate targets
A 14-year-old Swedish citizen of joint Moroccan origin has been arrested in a major police operation in Spain, orchestrated by the Spanish, Swedish and Danish police forces, to uncover an international network of underage killers.
The boy, who lived with his parents in Alicante’s Torrevieja, is suspected of leading the network of young killers who were paid to murder people. The boy is said to have recruited other teenagers and provided them with weapons and detailed instruction for carrying out the hideous crimes.
The price paid for murders is said to be around 20,000 to 50,000 euros per killing. The boy targeted fellow minors to carry out the crimes because of the cost effectiveness of the business and the lighter sentence they serve if caught.
Moreover, this type of phenomenon is supposedly on the rise in Sweden in particular, where it has been documented that it is not unusual for young boys to be involved in brutal acts of violence. According to reports, Spanish police have seen videos of teenagers as young as 13 shooting adults in cold blood.
This particular investigation began when the Swedish police shared information about the network’s activities with their Spanish counterparts. This was then followed by a breakthrough in Málaga’s Benalmádena, where a 17-year-old Swedish boy was arrested before he could carry out a planned murder of a member of a rival motorcycle gang.
After the boy was arrested, it was discovered that he was working for a larger organisation that was controlled by the 14-year-old Moroccan boy of Swedish nationality. In connection with the network, Danish police arrested two other members of the murder gang just before they were to carry out a murder in Denmark.
The police have since stated that the 14-year-old suspect, who was living in Spain, was extremely cautious and difficult to track. From his home in Torrevieja, he directed the network’s activities, including recruiting and the planning crimes.
His parents home has since been described as an operations centre where he managed the network’s social media and gave orders to the recruited youths.
Eventually, the police were able to track the boy down and arrest him and his parents, who, according to the investigation, were aware of their son’s criminal activities. The parents are now in prison, while the boy himself is being held in a youth centre.
