ARCHIVED - Fish farm enclosure washed up on the beach in Cabo de Palos
Enclosures were torn free from their moorings as 5-metre waves battered the coast on Monday
Storm Gloria has finally abated in Spain leaving almost half of the country to count the cost of the damage done, especially on the coast, and among those ruing the effects of the wind, waves, torrential rain and snow are the owners of a fish farm off the coast of Cabo de Palos where five enclosures were torn loose from their moorings.
Waves of over 5 metres were recorded at Cabo de Palos on Monday and although most of the enclosures were safely recovered this was clearly not the case with all of the cages and nets, as this image sent by a reader at the southern end of Playa Levante shows!
