ARCHIVED - Bars and restaurants in 40 municipalities will be permitted to open from Wednesday this week
Just 5 municipalities will not be permitted to open as their rate of coronavirus is too high
The unlucky 5 are: Yecla, Totana, Los Alcázares, Torre Pacheco and San Javier
Bars permitted to open their terraces to 100% capacity observing the basic spacing distance of 1.5 metres between tables from Wednesday:
Ojós, Librilla, Ricote, Beniel, Lorquí, Campos del Rio, Bullas, Ulea, Abarán, Villanueva, Fortuna, Moratalla, Santomera, Cartagena, Pliego, Molina de Segura, Las Torres de Cotillas, Alguazas, Murcia, Águilas, Alcantarilla, Fuente Álamo, La Unión, Mula, Cieza, Mazarrón, Blanca and San Pedro del Pinatar
Bars and restaurants permitted to open to 75% capacity of terraces;
Aledo, Albudeite, Ceutí, Lorca, Cehegín, Abanilla, Alhama de Murcia, Archena, Puerto Lumbreras, Caravaca, Calasparra, and Jumilla
The Covid Monitoring Committee has reviewed the data of the weekend and during its Monday afternoon meeting has now decided to allow bars and restaurants in 40 of the 45 municipalities in the region to re-open from Wednesday.
Only terraces are allowed to open; no food may be served at the bar or inside the premises.
Alcantarilla, Aledo, Alhama de Murcia, Archena, Blanca, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cehegín, Fuente Álamo, Jumilla, Moratalla and Puerto Lumbreras have all been added to the list this week.
Yecla, Totana, Los Alcázares, Torre Pacheco and San Javier must wait until next Monday when the data will be reviewed again.
Please note; the regional government is insisting that masks be worn at all times when seated in bars and restaurants other than when actively sipping from a glass or putting food in the mouth.
The restrictions relating to movement between municipalities remain in place until December 9th, so if you live in Alhama, only bars and restaurants in Alhama may be used until after December 9th.
