CHM explains how “pay as you go” gas or oil energy could help you save money on heating this winter
The entire world appears to be focused on both the rocketing costs, and the supply of energy, in all forms. One of the advantages of living in the south of Spain is that, in general there is no mains gas which means buying gas (either Butane or Propane) is “by the cannister”. The current price at the time of publication is approximately 20 euros, but at least you can “pay as you go” rather than waiting for the dreaded bill, which is an enormous relief for many on fixed incomes.
The same applies to central heating, either by gas or oil. An oil tank has to be pre-filled and therefore pre-paid, so, for either oil or gas central heating it is still “pay as you go”.
Whilst running air conditioning requires mains electricity, it is easy to save money by installing the latest models of high quality, inverter type, units. These units are quiet, efficient and “green friendly”, running on the latest approved R32 refrigerant gas (fluorinated greenhouse gas) that all governments are now demanding. These units have ECO facility to maximise low cost energy, and are in line with the new, full, EU legislation and directives.
In a smaller property it is often more efficient to use air conditioning for both heating and cooling anyway, so look for the latest technology when selecting a supplier.
Camposol Heating and Maintenance (CHM) only supply Baxi Air Conditioning. The after sales service from Baxi is also of an extremely high quality, which is of paramount importance to a locally based company with such a large client base on
Camposol and in surrounding areas.
Autumn activity
September is rapidly approaching and whilst it’s still warm, it’s time to start thinking about winter options too. CHM are servicing oil and gas boilers every Wednesday throughout September and early October, so please don’t forget to book yours.
CHM really do not want to be servicing boilers during the cold weather as they will be busy with installations already booked for the autumn, and they hate to let anyone down. They also have a message for those with holiday homes, to book ahead this year rather than arrive to find you have no heating or hot water. CHM are happy to go in to your home along with a key holder or a friendly neighbour for the cost of a call out, so you can enjoy your stay from the very first day.
Anyone who is going to use air conditioning for heating in the winter months is encouraged to arrange a service well before it is needed and before we get into the busiest period of the year.
To arrange a call, contact the CHM office on +34 968 199 184 or call/WhatsApp via mobile on +34 646 965 082.
