ARCHIVED ARTICLEARCHIVED - July 21 La Cabra Mecánica top the bill on the last Friday of La Mar de Musicas in Cartagena
Live music from Spain, the Dominican Republic and France at various venues in Cartagena
After the disruption of the Covid pandemic over the last couple of years the La Mar de Músicas international music festival returns to Cartagena in the early summer of 2022, with a series of 41 artists performing between July 15 and July 23 at various venues in the city. The featured nation at this year’s event is the Dominican Republic.
On Thursday July 21 the schedule is as follows:
13.00: Maestro Espada (Spain) are from Murcia and play a curious mix of electronic folk music. Tickets for the concert in the Real Club de Regatas are on sale at just 5 euros.
20.00: Buscabulla (Dominican Republic) is an experimental pop duo formed by Raquel Berríos and Luis Alfredo Del Valle, who offer this free concert in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
21.30: Sofiane Pamart (France) is a contemporary classical pianist with the mentality of a rapper, whose image has attracted sponsors such as Lacoste, Cartier and Polaroid. She has lent her talents to projects as modern as the popular video game Assassin's Creed Valhalla and has topped the bill at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Her concert in Cartagena is in the patio of the CIM building with tickets priced at 15 euros.
23.00: La Cabra Mecánica (Spain) published their first disc as long as 25 years ago and are celebrating the anniversary with a tour of Spain looking back on their numerous hits. Tickets for the concert at the Auditorio 'Paco Martín' in Parque Torres are priced at 30 euros.
