ARCHIVED - Murcia police go electric
Three new electric vehicle charging points have been installed outside the station in El Infante
The growth in the use of electric vehicles is a vital element of the fight against climate change and Murcia city council is amongst the most active in the region pushing for the use of sustainable vehicles, attempting to reduce contamination in the city centre and create a cleaner living atmosphere for residents of the city, as well as visitors.
One of the initiatives is the gradual introduction of electric-powered vehicles and this week the council installed three vehicle charging points outside the El Infante station where the use of electric-powered vehicles, cycles and motorcycles is slowly being implemented.
The network of vehicle charging points is gradually growing as increasing numbers of residents and businesses switch over to electric.
